Association of Cancer Online Resources: Collection of online communities designed to provide timely and accurate information in a supportive environment.http://www.acor.org/

Cancer Hope Network:  Cancer Hope Network matches cancer patients or family members with trained volunteer cancer survivors who themselves, have undergone and recovered from a similar cancer experience. www.cancerhopenetwork.org

Cancer Kids: Web-based organization that helps children with cancer to tell their stories to the world by providing links to the personal web pages of children who are battling cancer, through the Stories section of the website.http://www.cancerkids.org

Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance Scholoarship: This opportunity is offered twice each year for college students who have been diagnosed with any type of cancer and their siblings to apply for a $4000 scholarship: http://www.mesothelioma.com/scholarship/

OncoChat: Real-time global support community for people whose lives have been touched by cancer. www.oncochat.org

Pediatric Oncology Resource Center: Resources and information for parents of children with cancer – by parents of children with cancer. http://www.ped-onc.org/

Ronald McDonald House Charities: Provides a “home-away-from-home” for families of seriously ill children who are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals at Ronald McDonald House. Offer scholarships to students from disadvantaged communities who face limited access to educational and career opportunities.www.rmhc.org

Songs of Love Foundation: A patient’s parents, legal guardian, or hospital staff can request a song that will be written, free of charge, by a team of musicians specifically for a critically or terminally ill child. Song requests can be filled in as little as two days, in an emergency. A form,available on the website, must be filled in completely and legibly. www.songsoflove.org

ECF has helped me tremendously with the support of my Caseworker, Eileen, as well as the volunteers with the holiday wish lists and in making sure Ty had a wonderful birthday every year.
