We will miss each of these incredible volunteers, as they have all been invaluable to me and to the Central Region. They have given of their time in a selfless manner with enormous dedication to helping our kids with cancer and their families. Each one came to ECF with her own distinct personality and each one utilized her own set of skills which were a perfect fit for our needs. I honor them and wish them success and happiness in all their endeavors. Good Luck, Alex, Jordan, Mary & Marta! Barbara Kopel Central Regional Director

ECF & Compassionate Communications ECF has partnered with Compassionate Communications to bring a new level of support to our families. This innovative venture allows us, for the first time, to connect our donors and our families in a way that protects the families' privacy. Futheremore, for each card sent through this program, ECF receives a contribution. Compassionate Communications is a company dedicated to connecting people in need of suport and encouragement with compassionate individuals who want to reach out to them. Through a special arrangement with Hallmark Business Expressions (a subsidiary of Hallmark Cards, Inc.), Compassionate Communications combines web-based technology and high-quality greeting cards to provide a simple, fast, and meaningful way to create healing moments of compassion. Through Compassionate Communications’ unique program, individuals with life-threatening illnesses can receive handwritten “healing cards” from people they may have never met. In the process, affiliated charities receive funds to support patient outreach programs, and our card senders experience the joy of sharing healing words and financial support with people they care about and charities they want to support. If you are an ECF family who wants to sign up, contact Ilene Cannon, Case Manager or Carol Davis, Managing Director.
