Meet Tony
Tony was diagnosed with Stage 4 high-risk Neuroblastoma at just two-and-a-half years old, only weeks before his sister Samantha was born. Although years of intensive treatment saved his life, the long-term effects have been severe, including the loss of one kidney and a transplant for the other donated by his father. After the transplant, Tony developed Post Transplant Lymphoma and spent months hospitalized, sometimes in a coma, while his family stayed by his side through the fight for his life.

Now 18, Tony continues to face significant medical and neurological challenges and uses a wheelchair, but he remains determined to help others. An Eagle Scout, Brookdale Community College student, and member of ECF’s Junior Board, Tony volunteers regularly with pediatric cancer charities and says he loves “family, friends, and video games.” Inspired by her brother, his sister Samantha has donated her hair three times to organizations that make wigs for children with cancer.
