Meet Grace
Grace was just 10 years old when she was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma and told after years of treatment that there were no remaining options. Refusing to give up hope, her family continued searching until doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center took a chance on her, leading to another year of treatment before she became cancer free in 2015. Sadly, her cancer returned five years later during her junior year of high school and in the midst of the pandemic.
Despite intense side effects during her relapse, Grace remained a top student while running her own charity to raise money for childhood cancer research. Now 18 and cancer free again, she is studying theater at New York University, advocating honestly about the long-term realities of life after cancer, and inspiring others with her determination to be “bigger than a diagnosis, bigger than a statistic.”
