Kids Organize 5K To Benefit Kids with Cancer

Two students at Ramapo High School, with the support of numerous volunteers, organized the first annual MILES FOR SMILES 5K race held on June 13th. Because of their vision and hard work, the event raised $17,000 for ECF! The community came out to run, walk, play with baby goats, dunk their football coach in the dunk tank, and enjoy treats from local businesses, all to support families facing pediatric cancer. The students, Marlie and Lorenzo, hope this will be the first of many such community events. We are so grateful for their leadership, creativity, and interest in helping others.
